David "Dave" Lee Barger, Jr.

December 30, 1963 — June 14, 2014

David Lee “Dave” Barger, Jr., resident of the Mason Community in Fayette County, President of the LunaWeb Web Design Company in Memphis and husband of Maurrean Barger, departed this life Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was 50 years of age and died as a result of a boating accident on the Wolf River in Shelby County.

Services for Mr. Barger were conducted at 3 P.M. Thursday, June 19th at the Calvary Church in Cordova with Pastor Lynn Holmes officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Barger was born December 30, 1963 in San Diego, California, the son of David Lee Barger, Sr. and Grace Luna Barger. He received his education in the Tennessee Public School System and continued his education to earn his Bachelor’s Degree at the Memphis State University.

Mr. Barger served his country in the United States Navy as a young person and was married November 30, 2005 to the former Vicki Maurrean Melton, who survives. Mr. Barger served as the President and CEO of the LunaWeb Web Design Company for 20 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities that included skydiving, kayaking and remote control quadcopters. He will be remembered as a family-oriented person that had many special times with his wife and daughters.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Barger is survived by two daughters, Savannah and Celeste; his parents, David Lee Barger, Sr. and Grace Luna Barger of Atoka, TN; his brother, Anthony Barger (Christy) of Jackson, MS; and his grandparents, Martha Sitz of Atoka, TN and Celia Luna of California.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Dave Barger Memorial Fund, 16790 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
