Cynthia Denise Spicer Stewart Carlson, age 50, resident of the Somerville Community and purchaser at Precision Coils in Brownsville, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 17, 2015 at her residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Carlson were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 21st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Carlson was born August 27, 1964 in Somerville, the daughter of Daniel Clifton Spicer and Kay Frances Lewis Spicer. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a graduate of Fayette Ware High School Class of 1982. She was employed as a purchaser at Precision Coils in Brownsville and attended Oakland First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting, home interior decorating, reading, NASCAR and special times with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Carlson is survived by three daughters, Mindy Conner (Charles) of Somerville, Kari Berger of Ortley, SD, Jenny McCoy of Somerville; two sons, Buddy Stewart (Angie) of Oakland, Jeffrey McCoy of Somerville; two stepsons, Keith Cox of Oakland, Clint Cox (Rachel) of Somerville; her parents, Daniel and Frances Spicer of Mooreville, MS; three sisters, Barbara Kay Long (Joey) of Shannon, MS, Shelia Watkins (Jimmy) of Somerville, Carol Scott (Michael) of Southaven, MS; her brother, Dorsey Spicer (Donna) of Mooreville, MS; eight grandchildren, Swaye Conner, Katie Conner, Gracie Stewart, Bradley Stewart, Dorian Cox, Devon Cox, Kayce Berger, Brady Berger; and her companion, Randy Cox of Somerville.
Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her husbands, Terry Stewart, Ron Carlson; her sister, Connie McCoy; and her brother, James Spicer.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Keith Cox, Clint Cox, Matthew Krosp, Dorsey Spicer, Tray Watkins, Brent King, Duane Joyner and Kevin Sides.
Honorary casketbearers were Billy Joe Spicer, Clint Carlson and Barbara Kay Long.
