Cheryl Denise Trammell, resident of Memphis with family members in Fayette County and retired employee of Memphis Light Gas & Water Department departed this life Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her residence. She was 55 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Miss Trammell were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, May 20th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with a family member, Pastor Ronnie Trammell officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Miss Trammell was born June 2, 1959 in Memphis, the daughter of Travis A. Trammell, Sr. and the former Eddie Carol Mosby. She received her education in the Parochial and Public School System in Memphis. She was employed for over 27 years in the utility department of Memphis Light Gas & Water before retiring 13 years ago for health reasons.
Miss Trammell was a member of the Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of Memphis and Shelby County. Drawing and art were favorite pastimes and she enjoyed caring for her pet canines as long as health permitted.
Miss Trammell is survived by her father, Travis A. Trammell, Sr. of Somerville; her mother, Eddie Carol Mosby Trammell of Memphis; and her brother, Travis A. Trammell, Jr. of Somerville.
Pallbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Mid-South Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 214 Overlook Circle, Suite 153, Brentwood, TN 37027.
