Dennis Eugene Wieland

August 5, 1957 — April 19, 2014

Dennis Eugene Wieland, resident of the Eads Community and employee of the Kroger Company in Lakeland, departed this life Saturday morning, April 19, 2014 at his residence. He was 56 years of age and died following a brief illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Wieland were conducted at 3 P.M. Thursday, April 24th at the Fisherville First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Moore, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Fisherville Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Wieland was born August 5, 1957 in Springfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth B. Wieland and Roqua Lucille Russell Wieland. He received his education in the Tipton County Public School System and was a former resident of Memphis and Covington before moving to the Fisherville Community in 1999.

Mr. Wieland had been employed by the Kroger Company for 13 years and was a devoted member of the Fisherville First Baptist Church where he participated in numerous church activities that included being a faithful member of the Church Choir. Dennis was a special child of God and will be remembered by many as a person with a keen intellect and a love for all of mankind. He enjoyed music and was a people-person who endeared himself to many. He never met a stranger and was loved by his family, his church friends and at his place of employment.

Mr. Wieland is survived by his sister, Cathy Knapp (Chuck) of Oregon and two brothers, Kenneth R. Wieland (Diane) of Charlotte, NC and David L. Wieland, Sr. (Rita) of Eads. He was blessed with over 35 nieces and nephews.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were David Wieland, Jr., Scot Wieland, Mark Wieland, Jessica Ramey, Chad Wieland and Meredith Wieland.

Honorary casketbearers were Amber Wieland, Kayla Ramey, Glen Maddox, Bob Wallace, Barry Abramson and Jerry Schlichte.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fisherville First Baptist Church, 11893 Macon Road, Eads, TN 38028.
