Dick Whitmore, Sr.

Richard Randle "Dick" Whitmore, Sr., age 74, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Dick was born on November 3, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Mamie Whitmore.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Randle (April) of Fisherville, TN and Wade (Julie) of Houston, TX; and sister, Susan Shunny of Silver City, NM.
Dick proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.
He was an avid sportsman sharing his love of hunting and fishing in the river bottoms, lakes and rivers of Arkansas with his friends, his sons and their friends.
The family is very grateful for the care and concern that was given Richard by Dr. Thomas Ratliff and Methodist Hospice.
A memorial service celebrating Dick’s life was held at 10 A.M. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Forest Hill-Irene Road. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
