Dolores (Machin) Delgado

Dolores Machin Delgado, age 90, resident of Cordova and wife of the late Isaias Cesar Delgado, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, September 21, 2016 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.

A Gathering of Family and Friends of Mrs. Delgado was held from 6 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Delgado was born February 5, 1926 in Key West, Florida. She was married in February of 1958 to Isaias Cesar Delgado and they were residents of Florida and New York before moving to Tennessee to be close to her family. She was employed as an administrator of the domestic science department at various hospitals for over 20 years before her retirement. Mrs. Delgado was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Plantation Women’s Club. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises and vacations with her family, always having a good time. Her family states she was very outspoken and had a big heart.

Mrs. Delgado is survived by her daughter, Marsha Wulff of Oakland, Tennessee; her son, Ralph C. Delgado (Renee Cajigal-Delgado) of Plainview, New York; her sister, Rita Mayhorn of New Orleans, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Terri Wulff of Florida, Kurt Wulff of Collierville, Tennessee, Kathy Shemwell of Oakland, Tennessee, Alexander Delgado of New York, Charlie Cowart of Lefevre, Florida, Cassandra Lefevre of Florida, Eric Delgado of New York; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaias Cesar Delgado; her parents, Armando Machin and Sara Madeu Machin; her son, Charlie Cowart; and two sisters, Dora Ayala, Margo Arnao; and four brothers, Albert Arnao, Armando Machin, Jr., Juancito Machin and Mario Machin.
