Don F. House, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Kay House whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in Dukedom, Kentucky in 1947, he was the son of the late William F. House and the late Mary Louise House. He graduated from Frayser High School in 1967 and was a retired businessman. He belonged to Cordova Community Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and sports.
Don is survived by his wife, Kay House; his brother, David House (Genny); and two nephews, Zachary House and Nicholas House (Danielle). He is also survived by five children, Jon House (Lesly), Ginger House, Kevin House (Marti), Kerry Myers (Kirk) and Cody Farris (Jennifer). He also had fifteen grandchildren who were his greatest loves, Corey Cook, Joshua Cook, Katie Cook, Payton Johnston (Cullen), Logan Johnston, Andersen House, Annabella House, Mikayla Jackson, LaDarious Jones, Noah House, Kameron Myers, Kealy Mize (Alex), Karagan Myers, Dalton Farris and Katie Farris. Colson Mize, his first great-grandchild is to be born this month.
Funeral Services for Mr. House were held at 2 P.M. Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Gary Ealy, pastor of Cordova Community Church, officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were James Carter, Danny Sisco, Johnny Kinsey and Lydle Simpson.
