Donald Leo Klein

Donald Leo Klein, age 68, resident of the Oakland Community and husband of Arlene Klein, departed this life Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015 at his residence.

Memorial Services for Mr. Klein were conducted at 1 P.M. Sunday, March 1st at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Stephen Kenny, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Klein was born August 29, 1946 in Jasper, Indiana, the son of Jerome Klein and Hilda Mehringer Klein. He attended the University of Indianapolis and later moved to the Oakland Community. He was married July 1, 1972 to the former Arlene Hohl, who survives. Mr. Klein was employed as a rate clerk for Roadway Express for over 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Mr. Klein is survived by three sons, Christian Klein (Amy) of Suwanee, GA, Gregory Klein (Susie) of Charlotte, NC, Daniel Klein of Oakland; his parents, Jerome and Hilda Klein of Jasper, IN; his sister, Lou Older (Bill) of Illinois; his brother, Jim Klein (Sherry) of Louisville, KY; and three grandchildren, Charlie, Anna and Wilson.
