Donald Mason Meador, age 66, resident of Arlington, Tennessee and husband of Raymona Walters Meador, went to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon, October 26, 2018.

Services and interment for Mr. Meador were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Meador was born July 31, 1952 in New Albany, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Oakhaven High School in Memphis and Memphis State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War period and was employed as the deputy administrative director of child support in Shelby County for many years before his retirement. Mr. Meador loved the Lord and was of the Southern Baptist faith. He loved dogs, especially his Rayla, and enjoyed watching movies and doing yardwork.

Mr. Meador is survived by his wife who he married May 18, 1979, Raymona Walters Meador of Arlington, TN; his stepmother, Martha A. Meador of New Albany, MS; his sister, Linda Kirkland (Steve) of New Albany, MS; and his brother, Brian Meador (Leisa) of Iuka, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, William Mason “Billy” Meador; his mother, Martha Jean Mounce Russell; and two brothers, John Russell and James S. Russell. He will be remembered for being a loving husband to his wife, son, brother and friend to many.
