Donna Lynn Kyle, resident of Memphis and niece of Martha Johnson of Somerville departed this life Thursday afternoon, October 10, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis from injuries received in a vehicle accident that occurred in Memphis a week before her death. She was 49 years of age.
Services of Remembrance for Miss Kyle were conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 15th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Jerry Bumgardner, pastor of the Gateway Baptist Church in Memphis officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Miss Kyle was born August 4, 1964 in Dyersburg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Kyle. She moved at an early age to Memphis with her family and received her education in the Memphis City Public School System. She was a valued employee of the Red Lobster restaurant chain in Memphis for over 20 years and considered Red Lobster employees as extended family members.
Miss Kyle was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of her church family. Animals were an important part of the life of Miss Kyle and she received much pleasure in caring for her beloved cats and dogs. She focused her life on her employment, favorite television programs and being with friends.
Miss Kyle’s only survivor is her aunt, Martha Johnson of Somerville.
Casketbearers were friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or Gateway Baptist Church, 4070 Macon Road, Memphis, TN 38122.
