Donna Kay Stevens Robertson,
resident of the Hickory Valley Community in Hardeman County and wife of Paul Robertson died November 26, 2010
at the Bolivar General Hospital. She was 64 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Funeral services for Mrs. Robertson were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, November 30
th
at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Tony Watkins of Moscow, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
Mrs. Robertson was born in Memphis on December 27, 1945. She was educated in the Memphis Public School System and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Robertson served as a homemaker throughout much of her life and she was a resident of the Laconia Community before moving to Hardeman County a number of years ago.
She was married in 1975 to Paul H. Robertson, retired construction company employee, who survives. Mrs. Robertson enjoyed special times with her grandchildren and with her pet dog “Bandit”. Mrs. Robertson was a country music fan with George Strait as her favorite artist.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Robertson is survived by her daughter, Felicia Hughes (Brian) of Oakland, her sons, Warren Good (Sara) of Memphis, Brandon Good (Melissa) of Whiteville, Derrick Good (Sonya) of Oakland, her mother and father, Nina Faye Street Wright and Kenneth Wright of Memphis, her sister Mary Ann Stevens of McAllen, Texas, her brothers, David Stevens of Memphis, Al Stevens of Memphis, Barry Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, Greg Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Brandon Good, Derrick Good, Warren Good, Nick Irvin, Barry Wright and Brian Hughes.
