Donnie Mae Willis Wilson, age 67, resident of Somerville and wife of the late Billy Dean Wilson, departed this life Friday evening, August 31, 2018 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilson were conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Bobby Williams officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery at Oakland. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Wilson was born January 1, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, Mississippi. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and had a special love for gardening, flowers and camping with her family. Ms. Donnie enjoyed special time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was married May 25, 1967 to Billy Dean Wilson who preceded her in death on July 20, 2002 and she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Linda Dianne Bennett (Ronald) of LaGrange, TN; her son, Billy Dewayne Wilson (Tina) of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Bertha Smith of Mt. Pleasant, MS, Brenda Willis of Somerville, TN; two brothers, Curtis Willis (Margaret) of Red Banks, MS, Daniel Willis (Maudie) of Holly Springs, MS; three grandchildren, Freddy Bennett, Elizabeth Bennett, Alyssa Wilson; and her great-grandson, Brayden Bonds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dean Wilson; her parents, Louie and Edna Willis; her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Wilson; her sister, Dorothy Bryant; three brothers, Paul Willis, John Willis, Wayne Willis; and one grandchild, Zachery Watson.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Robert Wilson, Jr., Freddy Bennett, Dustin Watson, James Smith, Jr., David Cox, Jr. and William Watson.
