Dorothy Louise Hines Mott, age 95, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of the late James R. Steward and the late George E. Mott, departed this life Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025 at her home.

Dorothy was born June 4, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Aubrey E. Hines and Irma Williams Hines. She was employed at General Electric for 30 years before her retirement and was a member of Oakland Church of Christ in Oakland, Tennessee where she taught Bible Study. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing Bunko and card games, crafting and making floral arrangements.

Mrs. Mott is survived by three daughters, Patricia Bowman, Deborah Barthalow (David) and Romona Arscott; her sister, Nancy Steward; seven grandchildren, Michael Stone (Jackie), Michelle Hasty, David Barthalow II (Kim), Dustin Barthalow (Natalie), Jimmy Steward (Raven), Josh Steward (Stephanie) and Jeremy Steward (Jeremy); fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Frieda Furr; her son, Jimmy Steward; two sisters, Virginia Jones and Bobbie Couch; her brother, Aubrey Hines, Jr.; and her grandson, Darren Barthalow.
