Dorothy Carolyn (Richie) Mason

Dorothy Carolyn Richie Mason, age 83, resident of Saulsbury, Tennessee and wife of the late Everett Leon "Dooley" Mason, departed this life Tuesday morning, June 28, 2016 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Mason were conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Michael Roach, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Mason was born August 21, 1932 in Somerville. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was married June 12, 1951 to Everett Leon “Dooley” Mason. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a lifelong resident of the West Tennessee area. Mrs. Mason was a member of the Savannah First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the piano and organ, bowling, search and find puzzles and watching old movies, especially cowboy western movies.
Mrs. Mason is survived by three daughters, Linda Sherrill and her husband, Ron, of Memphis, Pam Powell and her husband, Randy, of Saulsbury, Dottie Sanders and her husband, Donnie, of Memphis; her sister, Betty Lippitt of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Robin Tosso and her husband, Aaron, of Collierville, Sherri Nelson and her husband, Clint, of Arlington; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb Nelson, Maddie Nelson, Bailey Tosso and Noah Tosso.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. “Dooley” Mason who died July 27, 2011 and her parents, Henry Carroll Richie and Annie Bell Feathers Russell.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Clint Nelson, Caleb Nelson, Ron Sherrill, Randy Powell, Aaron Tosso and Donnie Sanders. Honorary pallbearers included Noah Tosso.
