Dorothy Charlene (Morris) Glover Atkeison

Dorothy Charlene Morris Glover Atkeison, age 89, of Lewis Center, Ohio, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by family on April 27, 2015.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Atkeison were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, April 30th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Jim Whitley, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Laconia, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Atkeison was born April 29, 1925 in Rossville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ray Morris and Donna Inez Gurkin Morris. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was employed with the Fayette County Health Department until her retirement in 1987. She was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church in the Laconia Community and a member of Genoa Baptist Church in Westerville, Ohio.

Mrs. Atkeison is survived by her daughter, Anne Buchanan of Westerville, Ohio; granddaughters, Angie Pence (David) of Westerville, Ohio, Missy Thoma (Jeremy) of Westerville, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Zach (fiance, Stacey), Bailey, Nick, Abby, Joey, Braydon; her sister, Samantha Williams of Olive Branch, Mississippi; her brothers, Buster Morris (Joyce Anne) of Somerville, Jesse Morris (Patsy) of Somerville; numerous other family members and her beloved schnauzer, Molly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, George Druie Atkeison, Ray Farris Glover; her sister, Peggy Stainback; and her brother, Thomas Ray Morris.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Zach Swick, Nick Pence, Billy Wilson, Danny Dowdy, Ronnie Dowdy and Ernie Dowdy.
