Dorthy L. Jordan Williams, age 83, resident of Memphis, Tennessee and wife of John Williams, departed this life Thursday morning, November 25, 2021 at her home.
Dorthy was born May 15, 1938 in Akins, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillie Jordan. She received her education in Muskogee, Oklahoma and received her associate degree from Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a homemaker throughout her life. Dorthy was married October 5, 1962 to John E. Williams. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed collecting Fenton glass and cooking.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Williams of Memphis, TN and two sons, Kraig Williams of Bartlett, TN and Brian Williams of Arlington, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Speaks and three brothers, M.B. “Bud” Jordan, Carl D. “Dean” Jordan and Billy E. “Sonny” Jordan.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams were held at 2 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating minister was Angela Cole and speaker was Curtis Keech.
