Dustin Allen Yager, age 35, resident of Whiteville, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, February 7, 2025 at his residence.
Dustin was born February 22, 1989 in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of Timothy James Yager and Beverly Jo Bishop. He graduated from Gateway Christian School in 2007 and was employed in sales and delivery at B&R Supply Inc. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars and watching western movies, especially John Wayne movies.
Dustin is survived by his mother, Beverly Jo Bishop Yager of Whiteville, TN; his father Timothy James Yager of Malden, MO; his stepmother, Marcy Ann Yager of Malden, MO; his stepfather, David Michael “Mike” Phillips of Whiteville, TN; his grandmother, Josephine Faye Bishop of Whiteville, TN; his uncle, David Earl Bishop of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Ashley Dawn Russell (Chance) of Portageville, MO, Wendy Boone of Somerville, TN and Kimberly Boone of Somerville, TN; brothers, Timothy James Yager, Jr. of Somerville, TN, Johnathan Irvin Yager (Vicky) of Clarkton, MO, David Bradley Phillips of Whiteville, TN, Matthew Scott Yager (Samantha) of Piggott, AR and Michael Shane Phillips (Rachel) of Iowa Park, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Daniel Lee Yager, Zoe Jane Russell, Kennedy James Russell, Paisley Ann Yager, Oliver Phillips, Ensley Phillips, Owen Phillips, Juliana Phillips and Bradley Kye Phillips
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Lee Bishop, Judy Phillips, Corbett Cimeon, Jr. and Sadie Owens Yager.
Funeral Services for Dustin were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Terry Logan officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the District 15 Community of Fayette County.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Dennis Cannon, Harold Earley, Shane Cox, Justin Bishop, Tyler Bishop and Dustin Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Matt Baker, Corey Thompson, Reed Pierce, BJ Cannon, Johnny Ray Kennon, Timothy James Yager, Jr., David Bradley Phillips, Johnathan Yager, Shane Phillips, Matthew Yager, Chance Russell and Thomas Drew Pepper.
