Earl Phelps Disbro, II, age 67, resident of the District 15 Community in Fayette County and husband of Cathy Marie Cannon McNabb Disbro, departed this life Saturday, February 6, 2016 at his residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Disbro were conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with James Teague officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the District 15 Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.
Mr. Disbro was born May 6, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Weston Disbro and Ann Stanley Disbro. He received his education in Cuyahoga County, Ohio Public School System and was married to the former Cathy Cannon. Mr. Disbro served as a gunsmith for much of his life and was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies included internet shopping, reading, collecting coins and knives, “big band” music and special times with his grandchildren.
Mr. Disbro is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cathy Marie Cannon McNabb Disbro of Somerville; his son, Stephen Wayne McNabb (Peggy) of Somerville; his sister, Phyllis A. Saling of Ligonier, PA; and three grandchildren, Cathy Baker (JR) of Somerville, Perry McNabb of Somerville and Gary McNabb of Somerville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Disbro.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were James Fraley, Cecil Cannon, Jr., Leslie Sprayberry, James Baker, David McNabb and Tim McNabb. Honorary pallbearers were John Paul White, Johnny Thompson and Perry McNabb.
