Earline Davis Weaver, age 78, lifelong resident of the Somerville Community and retired factory worker for Ring Container in Oakland, departed this life Sunday morning, January 11, 2015 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Weaver were conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday, January 14th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. John Ed Watkins, pastor of the Mercy Bridge Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Weaver was born May 13, 1936 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis Davis and Lucy Jane Ealey Davis. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of the Somerville Community.
Mrs. Weaver was employed as a factory worker at Ring Container in Oakland for a number of years before her retirement. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching television, flowers, puzzles and special times with her family.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by three daughters, Patricia Cross of Covington, TN, Marsha Hatfield of Somerville, Shirley Phillips; four sons, Stevie Phillips of Mississippi, Wayne Phillips of Whiteville, Albury Phillips of Whiteville, Mike Phillips of Memphis; two sisters, Annie Thurmond (Larry) of Oakland, Ollie Bell Preslar (Darryl) of Somerville; her sister-in-law, Marsha Davis of Stanton; and six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Bill Cunningham, Brad Cross, Richard Weaver, Glenn Preslar, Freddie Nelms and Scott Weaver.
