EDNA ANN LOW CLIFT, a resident of Fulton, Mississippi and retired Insurance Adjuster with family members in Fayette County died Monday afternoon, December 7, 2009 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was 62 years of age and died following an extended illness.
A Gathering of family members and friends for Mrs. Clift was held at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M., Friday, January 22nd, 2010. Private interment for Mrs. Clift followed in the Cashner Cemetery at Conroe, Texas and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Mrs. Clift was born July 2, 1947 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Alvin Low and Naomi Harrison Low.
She received her education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a resident of Memphis and Conroe, Texas before moving to Fulton, Mississippi two years ago.
She was employed as an Insurance Adjuster for the Prudential Insurance Company for over twenty years before her retirement and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Clift will be remembered as an ardent animal lover with a special affection for horses.
She served as the family matriarch and enjoyed spectator sports and preparing special meals for her family.
Survivors of Mrs. Clift include two sisters, Lois Bray of Oakland, TN and Julia Crittenden of Fulton, MS; two brothers, Larry Low of Southaven and John Low of Amarillo, TX and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
