Edward Jean Morris

EDWARD GENE “Eddie” MORRIS, resident of the Longtown Community and retired employee of the HIS Garment Manufacturing Company in Bruceton, Tennessee died Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was 61 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes while working in Fayette County.
Funeral services for Mr. Morris were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, November 22

at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Loyd Shelton of Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in Fayette County Memorial Park on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Morris was born in Milan, Tennessee on September 24, 1949, the son of the late Gene Morris and the late Stella Jones Morris. Mr. Morris was educated in the Tennessee Public School Systems and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Morris was a resident of West Tennessee for much of his life and enjoyed nature and helping others.
Survivors of Mr. Morris include his step-daughter, Kristen Croft of Longtown Community in Fayette County, daughter, Katherine Rehart of Selinsgrode, Pennsylvania, one son, Edward Gene Morris, Jr. of Palm Beach, Florida, two sisters, Brenda Morris of Milan, Tennessee, Carol Webb of Milan, Tennessee and five grandchildren.
Those who served as casketbearers were family and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
