Eleanor Marie Keough Holland, age 82, resident of Lakeland, Tennessee and wife of Barry Holland, departed this life Monday morning, February 12, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Eleanor was born September 20, 1941 in Collierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Lee Keough and Bertha Duffy Keough. She was raised in Collierville and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1959. She was employed as a bank teller for many years, working in the drive-thru window where she enjoyed visiting with all the customers.
Eleanor was married in April of 2015 to Barry Holland and was a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Cordova, Tennessee. She had a servant’s heart and was always helping others. She enjoyed cooking and antiquing.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her husband, Barry Holland; three sons, Bill Seward (Robi), Danny Seward (Sally) and Scott Seward (Krisha); her sister, Jean Holbach; eight grandchildren, Jessica Seward, Emily Hughes (Trey), Caroline Patton (Nate), Samantha Kurtz (Ben), Jordan Seward, (Meagan), Courtney Mykleby (Jordan), Megan Seward and Daniel Seward, Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Gail Seward; three sisters, Dorothy Sandige, Carolyn Darnell and Judy Beaty; and three brothers, Charles Keough, John Keough and Roy Keough.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Holland were held at 2 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Bro. Matt Mitchell and Bro. Doug Seaton. Interment followed in Seward Cemetery at Eads.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jordan Seward, Daniel Seward, Trey Hughes, Ben Kurtz, Billy Parks and James Darnell.
