Elizabeth J. (Franke) Morris

Elizabeth J. Franke Morris, age 80, died on Wednesday June 6, 2012. Services for Mrs. Morris will be at 10 Monday morning at the Church of the Incarnation in Collierville. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery at Williston. Local arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Morris was born July 19, 1931 in Sedalia, Missouri. She went to Sacred Heart School for 12 years and went on to receive her nursing diploma from St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. There she met Steve Morris, the love of her life, and married him 6 months later. They moved several times before settling in Memphis. She worked as a hospital nurse until her retirement in 1985.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband of 59 years, Steve Morris; 7 children, Carol Preuss (Ron) of Luray, TN, Randy Morris (Vicki), Keith Morris (Connie), Terri Lamberth (Chuk), Joanie Cunningham (John), Susan Shaw (Tim), and Sharon Pasley, all of Collierville; her sister, Barbara Doty of Sedalia, MO; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by 5 brothers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38119. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heather and Sandra for their gentleness and patience the last few months.
