Ella "Blondie" Louise (Arrans) Cupples

Ella Louise “Blondie” Arrans Cupples, resident of the Arlington Community and wife of the late Albert Perry “Al” Cupples departed this life Friday morning, April 12, 2013 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis where she had been a patient for three days. She was 68 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Cupples were conducted at 10 A.M. Tuesday, April 16th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Kent Bailey of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Walls Cemetery in the Braden Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Cupples was born January 8, 1945 in New Albany, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Arrans and Toy Emily White Arrans. She received her eudcation in the Fayette County Public School System and was married to Albert Perry “Al” Cupples, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cupples was employed by area convenience stores and restaurants in the Lakeland, Arlington and Fayette County areas for over 25 years before her retirement five years ago. She was of the Baptist faith and had been a resident of the Arlington Community for the past 36 years. Her pleasures included working in her yard, preparing food for family and friends and celebrating special times with family members.

Mrs. Cupples is survived by her daughter, Shelia Biggs of Arlington; her son, Michael Davis of Arlington; her sister, Linda Mitchell (Larry) of Killeen, TX; two brothers, Jimmy Arrans (Bertie) of Byhalia, MS, Jessie Arrans of Arlington; her grandson, Wayne Biggs; and her great granddaughter, Lily Biggs.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were William Thompson, Wayne Biggs, Troy Hamilton, Bubba Biggs, Damian Bishop and Austin Harris.
