Emily Mae DeWitt

Emily Mae DeWitt, age 16, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and daughter of Aaron and Felicia DeWitt and Chelsea Cook, died on November 13, 2024.

Emily was known for her unwavering smile that could brighten any room. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone around her. Her generous heart made her a friend to many and her compassion knew no bounds. Her love for her family was profound and she cherished the special bond she shared with her cousins. Together, they created memories filled with laughter and joy, and Emily’s genuine affection for them was evident in every moment they spent together.

Pink was her favorite color and it was a fitting tribute to her vibrant personality. Emily had a passion for makeup and she really enjoyed having her hair and nails done. Shopping was another one of her favorite things to do. She had a deep love for all animals and enjoyed attending Mercy’s Bridge Church.

Emily is survived by her parents, Aaron and Felicia DeWitt and Chelsea Cook; her sisters, Kami, Gabby, Olyvia and Becca; brothers, Layne, Owen, Christian and Bentley; grandparents, Joani DeWitt, Hal and Nikki Thompson, Rick and Dana Voyles, Janet Prejean and Butch and Dremeda Cook; aunt and uncles, Chase and Hazel DeWitt, Nick and Brittany DeWitt, Jessica and Brandon Staggs, Josh and Elizabeth Thompson and Will and J.J. Cook, and many special cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim DeWitt; her grandmother, Becky Cook; and her sister, Gracie DeWitt.

Funeral Services for Emily were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Morris Chapel Cemetery.
