Emogene Margaret (Wilson) Dunn

Emogene Margaret Wilson Dunn, age 91, resident of Collierville, Tennessee and wife of the late Royan Dunn, departed this life Thursday evening, May 5, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville.

Emogene was born December 17, 1930 in Collierville, the daughter of the late Asa Wilson, Sr. and Theresa Henry Wilson. She was employed as an office manager for many years and will be remembered for her organizational skills. She loved sewing and was a fabulous seamstress. She was Pinterest before there was Pinterest. Emogene was a very Godly woman who loved her church, her family and the Memphis Tigers. She also had an impressive shoe collection.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her daughter, Wanda Rea; her son, Ronny Dunn, Sr. (Brenda); her sister, Laverne Gilmer; her brother, Asa Wilson, Jr. (Dot); three grandchildren, Ronnie Dunn, Jr., Melinda Frame (Jeff) and Mark Garrett; and five great-grandchildren, Emma, Reese, Bailey, Barrett and Caleb.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Wilson.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dunn were held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at New Bethel United Methodist Church in Rossville with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating. Special music was provided by Meredith Wilson, pianist. Interment followed in the New Bethel Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Ronnie Dunn, Jr., Jeff Frame, Kel Blanton, Mike Blanton, Al Gilmer and Allen Wilson.
