Ernest Ray Doyle, Jr.

Ernest Ray Doyle, Jr., age 62, resident of Millington, departed this life Friday morning, August 5, 2016 in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Doyle were conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. William Reeves officiating. Special music was provided by Thomas Foy, Ernie Reeves, Lindsay Reeves and Tami Reeves. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Doyle was born June 8, 1954 in Somerville, the son of Ernest Ray Doyle, Sr. and Violet Gay Doyle. He moved with his family at an early age to Texas and he graduated high school in the San Antonio, Texas Public School System. Mr. Doyle was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a sheet metal worker for a number of years. He enjoyed bass fishing, reading, writing and working.

Mr. Doyle is survived by his parents, Ernest Ray Doyle, Sr. and Violet Gay Doyle; his son, Matt Doyle (Toni) of Millington; his sister, Renee Silvis (John) of Millington; and two grandsons, Dylan Doyle and Connor Doyle.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland Gay Doyle.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Billy Reeves, Chip Reeves, Joey Reeves, John Silvis, Lance Silvis and Drew Silvis. Honorary pallbearers included Jesse Silvis.
