Eulyse Elbert Blair, age 80, resident of Oakland and husband of Jimmie Lou Garrison Blair, departed this life Saturday morning, June 8, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral Services for Mr. Blair were held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Kenneth Culver, pastor at Warren Community Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens at Bartlett. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Eulyse was born November 16, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Eulyse Elmo Blair and Della Mae Stevenson Blair. He was a graduate of Millington Central High School Class of 1957 and attended William R. Moore School of Technology in Memphis. He was employed at Firestone Manufacturing and was a crew chief for Loomis Fargo before his retirement. Eulyse was a former member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Memphis and most recently a member of Warren Community Church in Somerville. He was very active in church and was involved with Vacation Bible School throughout the years. In earlier years, he coached little league baseball and played on a bowling league. He enjoyed hunting, taxidermy, oil paintings, drawing and playing the violin.

Mr. Blair is survived by his wife who he married December 16, 1960, Jimmie Lou Garrison Blair of Oakland, TN; his daughter, Cindy Boosey (Rick) of Fayetteville, AR; two sons, Tony Blair of Collierville, TN, Paul Blair (Nell) of Arlington, TN; two sisters, Maxine Robertson of Phoenix, AZ, Delores Adams (Jay) of Phoenix, AZ; and seven grandchildren, Jake Blair, Kaitlen Blair, Peyton Boosey, Madison Boosey, Cassie Boosey, Abby Boosey and Naomi Blair.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Tony Blair, Paul Blair, Jake Blair, Dennis Epps, John Garrison and Dennis Clark.
