Evelyn (Day) Earles

April 12, 1939 — November 2, 2017

Evelyn Day Earles, age 78, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of Lee Earles, died November 2, 2017 at her residence after a long illness.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Earles were conducted at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Williston with Bro. Tony Watkins officiating. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Earles was born April 12, 1939 in Glen Fork, West Virginia, the daughter of Joe Thomas Day and Lunda Marie Ellis Day. She received her education in the West Virginia School System and moved to Moscow, Tennessee in 1994. She was an avid bowler and even qualified to be in the 700’s club. Mrs. Earles enjoyed attending firearm competitions and coaching her husband in these events. She also enjoyed traveling to Tunica, Mississippi and special times with her family and friends.

Mrs. Earles is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lee Earles of Moscow, TN; her daughter, Sherry Lynn Earles (Baxter) of Arlington, TN; her son, Kenneth Lee Earles of Tustin, CA; seven brothers, Delphia Day, Joseph Delmas Day, Tommy Day, Roger Day, Benny Day, Joe Day, Jr., Teddy Day;  five grandchildren, Thomas Christopher Hovey, Michael Ryan Solang (Shea), Megan Rose Solang (Amanda), Ashley June Earles,  Anastasia Lee Earles; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie Willow Solang and Evelyn Rose Solang.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Earles was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Philyaw.

The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
