Firn Petrowski Harris

Margaret Firn Petrowski Harris, age 82, resident of Greenwood, Mississippi, departed this life Sunday evening, May 26, 2024 at Country Meadow Personal Care Home in Greenwood.

Firn was born October 4, 1941 in Collierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert Petrowski and Cora Pleasants Petrowski. She graduated from Collierville High School. Firn began working as a meter maid and went on to serve 28 years in the law enforcement field. She was the Chief of Police in Somerville, Tennessee before her retirement. She loved all of her pets, especially “Jackie” and taking care of her rose bushes.

Ms. Harris is survived by her son, Donald R. Myers; three brothers, Morris Petrowski (Christine), Bobby Petrowski (Terri) and Richard Petrowski (Julie); two grandchildren, Brody Myers (Shelby) and Heidi Myers; and one great-grandchild expected in October.

A visitation for Ms. Harris will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 1 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Ms. Harris’s son, Don Myers, officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasants Cemetery near Rossville.
