Frances Elizabeth Moussette Coziar, age 90, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of the late Darold Dean Coziar, died Saturday morning, October 28, 2017 at the Gallaway Healthcare Center in Gallaway, Tennessee.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Coziar were conducted at 3 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Alan Smith officiating. Interment was in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Coziar was born September 10, 1927 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Peter Moussette and Dora Gannon Moussette. She was married May 14, 1949 to Darold Dean Coziar, who preceded her in death on January 31, 1997. She was most recently a resident of the Oakland Community. Mrs. Coziar was a homemaker throughout her life and took care of the elderly as long as health permitted. She was previously a member of 43 years at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Collinsville, Illinois where she taught in the nursery and preschool and sang in the choir. She was most recently a member of Oakland First Baptist Church. Mrs. Coziar enjoyed working on puzzles, discussing Bible scripture, watching birds and special times with her family.
Mrs. Coziar is survived by her daughter, Kathleen R. Huff (CW) of Oakland, TN; two sons, Dennis D. Coziar of Belleville, IL, Tony D. Coziar (Patti) of Collinsville, IL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
