Frances Rutledge Dilliard, resident of the Rossville Community and wife of the late Kenneth Ray Dilliard, departed this life Tuesday evening, October 21, 2014 at the Gardens of Germantown where she resided for three years. She was 87 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Dilliard were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 25th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Walter German officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Dilliard was born November 15, 1926 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillie Rutledge and Eileen Jackson Rutledge. She received her education in the Collierville Public School System and was married March 3, 1946 to Kenneth Ray Dilliard, a retired tool and die maker for Ripley Industries. Mr. Dilliard preceded her in death on July 23, 2000.
Mrs. Dilliard was a resident of the Rossville Community for 64 years and was employed by the People’s Bank of Collierville for 40 years before her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church and enjoyed special times with her family and friends.
Mrs. Dilliard is survived by three sons, Randy Dilliard (Beverly) of Rossville, TN, Reggie Dilliard (Jennifer) of Franklin, TN, Johnny Dilliard of Southaven, MS; her sister, Sue Pulliam (John David) of Rossville, TN; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
