Frances Irene (Gibson) French

January 28, 1926 — August 25, 2013

Frances Irene Gibson French, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, former resident of the Arlington Community and beloved mother and grandmother departed this life Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs where she had been a patient for four days. She was 87 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. French were conducted at 5 P.M. Thursday, August 29th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Lynn Holmes of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Cordova officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. French was born January 28, 1926 in Nashville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Riley Gibson and Victoria Malone Gibson. She received her education in the Nashville, Tennessee and Oakland, California Public School Systems and was married in 1987 to Vaughn French, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. French was employed as a collection agency debt solutionist for a number of years and had enjoyed living in various states that included Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Arkansas. She had been a resident of Arlington, Tennessee for the past five years. Mrs. French was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered for her love of singing and Bible reading. Family and friends were an important part of Mrs. French’s life.

Mrs. French is survived by five daughters, Victoria Logsdon of Cordova, Linda Bomprezzi of Arlington, TN, Sarah Brazier (Jerry) of Somerville, Annis Houston of Cordova, Tammy James Evans of Austin, TX; two sons, Raymond James of Dallas, TX and David James (Carolyn) of Austin, TX; her son-in-law, Don Crick of Nashville; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. French was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Crick; three sisters, Nola Mae Rivers, Annis Wilber, Velma White; two brothers, Jesse Gibson, Paul Gibson; and two sons-in-law, Charles Logsdon and Joe Bomprezzi.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Michael Brazier, Stephen Logsdon, Tommy Brown, Mickey Warren and Stephen Brown.
