FRANCES LOUISE STOKES KISER

November 29, 1939 — March 1, 2010

FRANCES LOUISE STOKES KISER, a resident of the Rossville Community, retired Employee of the Internal Revenue Service and wife of James R. Kiser died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital where she had been a patient for one month. She was 70 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Celebration of Life Services were conducted  for Mrs. Kiser at 1 P.M. Friday, March 5th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Rev. Jack Moore, Pastor of the First Baptist Church Fisherville and Rev. Ralph Thomas. A private interment will follow and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.

Mrs. Kiser was born in Gordon, Georgia on November 29, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Albert Stokes and Christine Waters Stokes.

She was married December 1, 1956 to James Ralph Kiser, retired from the Photography Industry, who survives.

Mrs. Kiser was employed as a Financial Clerk for the Internal Revenue Service for a number of years before her retirement.

She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church Fisherville and had been a resident of the Rossville Community since 1988.

In addition to her husband of fifty-three years, Mrs. Kiser is survived by two sons and their spouses, James Michael and Buffie Kiser of Barton, MS and David Lee and Glenda Kiser of Bartlett; four grandsons: Casey, Michael, Graham and Carter Kiser and one sister, Barbara Stokes Sexton of Ferguson, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Ray Stokes.
