Francisco Fernandez "Kiko" Mireles, age 58, resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi and husband of Tonia Champion Mireles, departed this life Saturday evening, July 19, 2014 at his residence.
Services for Mr. Mireles were conducted at 7 P.M. Friday, July 25th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Father Gonzales officiating. Interment was in the Santa Rita Cemetery near Nieves Zacatecas, Mexico. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Mireles was born March 31, 1956 in Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Misimiana Fernandez and the late Antonio Mireles Salcedo. He received his education in the Mexican School System and was married November 3, 1995 to the former Tonia Champion, who survives. He was Roman Catholic in faith and resided in the North Mississippi area for over 27 years. He was employed as a concrete finisher for the Carpenter Construction Company for 26 years before retiring for health reasons. Music was a favorite pastime.
In addition to his wife of 18 years, Mr. Mireles is survived by his daughter, Amberly Landfear (Jordan) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his son, Brandon Sessum of Memphis; his mother, Musimiana Fernandez of Mexico; four sisters, eight brothers and two grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
