Frank Jay Kemper,. age 65, of Somerville, Tennessee, passed away on March 3, 2025.
Jay was born December 11, 1959 in Jackson, Tennessee. He was the son of Frank and the late Elizabeth Kemper of Jackson. He was a 1981 graduate of Union University. It was there that he met the love of his life, Dana. Jay was Vice-President of the Bank of Fayette County.
Jay was a lover of all sports, never missing an opportunity to place a friendly wager with a friend on the game of the day. He especially loved playing golf with his many friends.
Jay enjoyed making music, and was skilled at playing the guitar, ukulele, harmonica and even the spoons! He had a beautiful singing voice, regularly serenading guests with a ballad.
Jay's newest hobby was watching Food Network and preparing meals for Dana. Jay was her chef, her stylist, her Uber driver, her best friend.
Jay was preceded in death by his son, Graham Kemper and his mother, Elizabeth Kemper. He is survived by his wife, Dana Kemper; two grandsons, Hanks Hoyte Kemper and Canon Mayden; granddaughters, Lyric Worsham, Birdie Lynn Kemper and Ava Hasbany; his father, Frank Kemper; and his sister, Carol Beth Kemper. He leaves behind countless friends, colleagues and other family who will miss him dearly.
Memorial Services for Jay were held at 6 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Raymond Kelley officiating. Remarks were given by Lyric Worsham, Jay's granddaughter.
