Gage Matthew Leifer, nine-months baby and a resident of the Oakland Community, returned to His Heavenly Father on Christmas morning, Friday, December 25, 2009.

Services for Baby Gage were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Kenneth Culver, Pastor of the Warren Community Church in Somerville, officiating. Personal Remarks were given by Gage's mother, Jamie Leifer and his grandfather, Myles Leifer. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.

Gage was born in Memphis on March 4, 2009 the son of Jamie Lee Kennedy Leifer and Sean Matthew Leifer. He brought much joy and happiness to his family and those who knew him during his brief time on this earth before his departure to Heaven. Gage will be remembered as a happy child just beginning to walk with a special love and adoration for his older brother and sister.

In addition to his parents, Gage's survivors include his sister, Skylar Kennedy of Oakland; his brother, Connor Leifer of Oakland; his grandparents: Jimmy Kennedy of St. Louis, MO and Myles and Angela Leifer of Oakland; his great-grandparents: Gerald Leifer of Columbus, GA and Linda and Don Dyser of Arlington; his great-great grandmother, Anne Honig of Columbus, GA; his uncle Matthew Leifer of Oakland; his aunt Brittany Davis of Atoka and his great-aunt, Patricia Puckett of Somerville.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jamie Leifer, William Rankin, Matthew Leifer, Myles Leifer and Jennifer Stephens.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Gage Leifer Fund, C/O First Citizens Bank, 7285 Hwy. 64, Oakland, TN, 38060.
