George Ray Jenkins

George Ray Jenkins, age 72, resident of Arlington, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

George was born on December 10, 1948 in Waynesboro, Mississippi, the son of the late James Ray Jenkins and Erma Elizabeth Runnels Jenkins. He received his education in Beatfour High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Period. He was employed as a carpenter for many years and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by three brothers, Ricky Jenkins, Rex Jenkins and Frank Jenkins; two grandchildren, Caleb Penton and Whitney Penton; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jessie Mae Williamson and his brother, James Durwood Jenkins.

Graveside Services for Mr. Jenkins were held at 10 A.M. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Somerville City Cemetery in Somerville, Tennessee.
