MARY VIRGINIA "GINNY" WADE, a longtime resident of the Rossville Community died Tuesday morning, March 30, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown where she had been a patient since March 18th. She was 40 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Miss Wade were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, April 1st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Ray Peters, Minister of the Macon Church of Christ, officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Miss Wade was born October 22, 1969 in Memphis, the daughter of Mary Jean Barron Wade and the late Roland B. Wade. She was educated in the local public school systems and was a graduate of Fayette Ware High School in Somerville.
"Ginny", as she was affectionately known by family and friends was a lifelong resident of the Rossville Community and a member of the Macon Church of Christ. A special child of God, Ginny endeared herself to many throughout her life and served as an inspiration to her family and friends despite her lifetime illness. She received much enjoyment from her family vacations at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Jean Barron Wade of Rossville; her sisters, Janet Wade Pennington (Ron) of Arlington, TN and Nancy Wade of Murfreesboro, TN and three nephews: Wade, Ross and Heath Pennington, all of Arlington.
Those honored to serve as active casket bearers were Barry Barron, William Barron, Sr., Heath Pennington, Ron Pennington, Ross Pennington and Wade Pennington.
Honorary casket bearers were William Barron, Jr. and Boyce Wade.
