Gloria Jean Bergeron Green, age 73, resident of Memphis and wife of Joe Green, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, June 6, 2017 at the Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Green were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Jon Howell, associate pastor at The Life Church in Cordova, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Green was born April 5, 1944 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Bergeron and Mary Louise Hadalgo Bergeron. She attended school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to the Memphis area when she was 16 years old. Mrs. Green was married June 30, 2001 to Joseph Marcus “Joe” Green and she was a member of The Life Church in Cordova. She enjoyed shopping, gambling, bowling, getting her nails done and special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Joseph Marcus “Joe” Green of Memphis, TN; two daughters, Melissa Green of Memphis, TN, Tina Maclin (Harvey) of Cordova, TN; two sons, Larry Eugene Moore, Jr. (Ann) of Ohio, Ronnie Moore (Madel) of Arlington, TN; her sister, Maryann Palmer of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers, Forrest Bergeron, Jr. (Lisa) of Shreveport, LA, John Bergeron of Louisiana; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
