Gregory Scott Carter

Gregory Scott Carter, age 51, resident of Collierville, Tennessee departed this life Thursday evening, July 25, 2024, at Methodist LeBonheur Hospital, Germantown, Tennessee.

Scott was born December 5, 1972, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Judith Kay Earnest Clayton and LeRoy McClure Carter, Jr. He was employed as a Mechanic for Acura of Memphis.

Mr. Carter is survived by his loving mother, Judith Clayton; his stepfather, Ronald Clayton; and his father, Roy Carter. He is also survived by his aunts, Diane Gossett (Larry), Debbie Lackey (Wayne), Rebecca Burrows (Dennis) and Sharon Earnest (Marty). He also leaves 12 loving first cousins as well as many others.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Joan Earnest, and LeRoy and Martha Carter.

A gathering of family and friends of Mr. Carter was held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
