"HANK" HENRY HALL

April 13, 1953 — October 14, 2009

CHARLES HENRY "HANK" HALL, V, Registered Nurse in the Memphis area for much of his life and a native of the Grand Junction Community died Wednesday morning, October 14, 2009 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven where he had been a patient for ten days. He was 56 years of age and died following a year-long illness.

Services Of Remembrance for Mr. Hall were conducted at 4 P.M. Friday, October 16th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Dr. Samson Gitau, Rector of the Immanuel Episcopal Church in La Grange, Tennessee, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Donald Brooks, Rector of the St. James Episcopal Church in Union City, Tennessee. A private interment at a later date will take place in the La Grange Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Hall was born April 13, 1953 the son of Charles Henry Hall, who survives and the late Nancy Boyd Franklin Hall.

He was educated in the Hardeman County Public School System and graduated from the Grand Junction High School. He continued his education at the University of Memphis and was a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis.

Mr. Hall was employed throughout much of his life in Shelby County and North Mississippi as a Registered Nurse and was associated with the Methodist Hospital Systems before his illness.

He had been a resident of Tate County, Mississippi before recently moving to the Middleton Community in Hardeman County to be near his family.

He was a member of the Immanuel Episcopal Church in La Grange and was preceded in death by his wife, the former Tina Lynn Daniels who also served as a Nurse and Healthcare provider before her death on November 21, 2002.

Mr. Hall was a lifelong resident of West Tennessee and North Mississippi. He served as a caregiver and healthcare professional to others throughout his nursing career and will be remembered as a person who enjoyed reading, music, movies and special times with his family.

In addition to his father, survivors of Mr. Hall include two sisters, Susan Hall of Starkville, MS and Rebecca Heckmair of Wienstephan, Germany; two brothers, Ben Hall (Brenda) of Middleton and Jesse Hall (Leslie) of Grand Junction and five nieces and five nephews.

Honorary casket bearers were Joe Wilburn, Randall Holt, Jay Forshea and Bruce Redfearn.

The family requests that memorials be directed to any local food bank organization.
