Helen Mildred (Nunnally) Davis

January 10, 1917 — October 5, 2015

Helen Mildred Nunnally Davis, age 98, resident of Lakeland and wife of the late James Wendell Davis, departed this life Monday evening, October 5, 2015 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Davis will be at a later date at Powell Road Church of Christ in Collierville, Tennessee. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Davis was born January 10, 1917 in Eaton, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Zebedee Nunnally and Ethel Lizabeth Britton Nunnally. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Arkansas State University and was a former resident of Winston, Georgia before moving to Lakeland, Tennessee three years ago. She was married to James Wendell Davis who preceded her in death on August 19, 2012. She was a member of Powell Road Church of Christ in Collierville and enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and special times with her family.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters, Rebecca JoAnn Jacobi (Gene) of Lakeland, Tennessee, Linda Kay Davis of Winston, GA; two sons, James Wendell Davis, II (Jalinda "GiGi") of Dallas, GA, John Taylor Davis (Sylvia) of Temple, GA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Bible Resource Center, 140 E. Mulberry Street, Collierville, TN 38017.
