Helen "Mac" Maxine (Smith) Lawson

Helen Maxine “Mac” Smith Lawson, age 91, resident of Somerville, departed this life Monday evening, February 22, 2016 at her residence.
Services and Interment for Mrs. Lawson were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Lawson was born March 9, 1924 in Linton, Indiana. She was a graduate of Linton High School and was a resident of Indiana before moving to the North Mississippi and West Tennessee areas. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker throughout her life. Mrs. Lawson enjoyed the outdoors, birds, fishing and special times with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by her daughter, Sue Stobaugh (Richard) of Olive Branch, MS; her daughter-in-law, Carol Lawson of Somerville; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Linda Smith; her son, Stephen L. Lawson; her sister, Sarah Wilkinson; and three brothers, Charles Smith, Virgil Smith and Bill Smith.
