Henry Clifford Cast

March 7, 1944 — August 25, 2012

Henry Clifford Cast, resident of the Saulsbury Community in Hardeman County, United States Veteran, retired Mechanic and husband of Carl Ann Cast died Saturday afternoon, August 25, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis where he had been a patient for two months. He was 68 years of age and died following a short illness.

At the request of Mr. Cast, all services will be private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Cast was born March 7, 1944 in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Clifford Cast and Laurine W. Scott Cast. He received his education in the Public School Systems of Tennessee and New Mexico and as a young person served in the United States Air Force. He was married August 4, 1963 to the former Carl Ann McClain, a native of New Mexico and retired employee for the City of Tucson, Arizona, who survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Cast returned to West Tennessee a number of years ago to be near their family members in Saulsbury and Grand Junction areas and had resided in Saulsbury since 1979. He was of the Methodist faith and was employed as a diesel mechanic throughout his life. He was employed by the General Truck Company in Memphis before his retirement eight years ago. He will be remembered as a family-oriented person who enjoyed vehicle repairs.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, Mr. Cast is survived by his daughter, Christine Harrison and her husband, Michael of Saulsbury; his son, Clifford Cast of Tucson, Arizona; four granddaughters, three grandsons and three great grandchildren.
