Henry Stegall “Buster” Lesh, Jr., resident of the Hickory Withe Community and retired owner of Lesh radio Systems, departed this life Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence. He was 64 years of age.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Lesh were conducted in Jackson, Tennessee. Interment followed in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Local arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Lesh was born June 27, 1949, the son of the late Henry Stegall Lesh, Sr. and Edith June McMurry Lesh. He received his education in the Madison County Public School System and was a graduate of Jackson High School, class of 1967 and continued his education at Lambuth University.
Mr. Lesh was employed with his father for many years at the Memphis Motorola Service Center and Logan Lesh Communications. Later, he opened his own business, Lesh Radio Systems, and was very successful in the field of communications. Piloting a private plane was a lifelong pleasure. He enjoyed boating, reading and nature. He served as a volunteer pilot for the Pilots N Paws organization, a group that arranges for rescue dogs to be flown to their new families.
Mr. Lesh is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Lesh of Memphis; two sisters, Barbara Lesh Borleske (Steve) of Wilmington, DE, Patricia Lesh Barbarita (Bob) of Lehigh Acres, FL; five nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and great nephews.
Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to Pilots N Paws, 4651 Howe Road, Landrum, SC 29356 or House of Mews - Puddy Tat Protectors, Inc, 933 S. Cooper, Memphis, TN 38104.
