Herbert Wade Pittman

Herbert Wade Pittman, age 49, resident of Tupelo, Mississippi, died Saturday morning, July 15, 2017 at his residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Pittman were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Sharron Brown officiating. Personal remarks were given by Mr. Pittman's daughters. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the District 15 Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Pittman was born June 21, 1968 in Somerville, Tennessee. He was employed in the flooring, carpeting and tile industry as an installer for much of his life. He was a member of the Genesis Church in Tupelo, Mississippi and loved music and special times with his friends and family, especially grandchildren.

Mr. Pittman is survived by two daughters, Sheena Woodruff (Dustin) of Booneville, MS, Brittney Mills (Jesse) of Southaven, MS; his son, Austin Pittman (Amanda) of Booneville, MS; his stepdaughter, Jennifer George (Benji) of Marietta, MS; his sister, Kristy Wilson (Steven) of Saltillo, MS; his brother, Ronnie Pittman (Tammy) of Whiteville, TN; ten grandchildren, Eden, Jalen, Julian, Lillian Grace, Jesse Jr., Landen, Raegan, Cheyanne, Joseph, Maddie; the mother of his children, Sunday Pittman of Booneville, MS; and his special friend, Rita Joyner of Tupelo, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Mason Pittman and Elizabeth Josephine Glover Pittman; his aunt, Laura Leola Joyner; and his grandson, Bentley Mason Wade Pittman.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Ronnie Pittman, Austin Pittman, Jesse Mills, Dustin Woodruff, Benji George and Ricky Matthews. Honorary pallbearers included Ronnie Pittman, Jr., Landon Wade and Joseph Cassler.
