Herman Eugene Glover, Jr.

Herman Eugene Glover, Jr., age 69, resident of Somerville and husband of the late Sherry Ann Mills Glover, departed this life Saturday evening, June 2, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Funeral Services for Mr. Glover were conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Kevin Treadway of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Perry Cemetery at Laconia. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Glover was born August 4, 1948 in Fayette County, Tennessee, the son of Herman Eugene Glover and Viola Kee Glover. He attended school in Mississippi and was married January 23, 1967 to the former Sherry Ann Mills. He was a longtime resident of the Somerville area and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Glover was employed as a mechanic and wrecker operator before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and going to yard sales.

Mr. Glover is survived by two daughters, Stacey Skelton (Randy) of Somerville, TN, Patricia Oliver of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Carolyn McClure of Red Banks, MS, Cynthia Hardin (Curtis) of Somerville, TN; two brothers, Rueben Freeman (Patricia) of Memphis, TN, David Freeman (Destiny) of Somerville, TN; six grandchildren, Peggy Skelton, Abby Montalvo, Jackie Skelton, Charles Oliver III, Jason Oliver, Hailey Oliver; and six great-grandchildren.

Those honored to be pallbearers were Randy Skelton, Daniel Johnson, Kenny Ferge, Jimmy King, Curtis Hardin, Donald Perrigo, Jerry Perrigo and Johnny Perrigo.
