Holly Joan (Kennamer) Murrell

Holly Joan Kennamer Murrell, age 49, resident of Oakland and wife of Lawrence Murrell, departed this life Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at the Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Murrell was held at 1 P.M. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. A Private Interment was in the Oakland City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Murrell was born March 30, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her education in the Fayette County School System and was married June 1, 2001 to Lawrence Murrell. She was of the Methodist faith and employed in the food service industry as a food preparer for many years. Mrs. Murrell enjoyed working in the yard, preparing food, making people laugh and was a wonderful caregiver who had a great fondness for her pet cats.

Mrs. Murrell is survived by her husband of 15 years, Lawrence Murrell of Oakland, TN; her mother, Leslie Connell James of Williston, TN; two sisters, Ashley Marie Reeves of Williston, TN, Jamie Lynn Elrod (Danny) of Oakland, TN; two nieces, Kelsey Elrod of Oakland, TN, Katie Rai Hood of Cordova, TN; and her nephew, Kyle Elrod of Oakland, TN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Clayton Kennamer.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Barry Lessel, Danny Elrod, Kyle Elrod, Tyler Hood, Mickey Hale and Jonny Crawford.
