Bubbie Lee

Howard Wayne “Bubbie” Lee, resident of Tunica, Mississippi and native of Somerville died Wednesday morning, October 13, 2010 at the Tunica Nursing Home where he had been a resident for four years. He was 69 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Lee were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, October 15
th
at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel at Somerville with Bro. Anthony Vaughn of New Life Baptist Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Lee was born in Somerville on December 22, 1940 the son of the late Walter Lee and the late Reba Russell Lee. He was educated in the Fayette County Public School System and had been a farmer in earlier years.
Mr. Lee was employed as a Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor before his retirement. In earlier years, he enjoyed farming with his family. A Christian, Mr. Lee will be remembered as an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors of Mr. Lee include his sisters, Betty Webb of Tunica, MS, Eva Rogers (Jerry) of Somerville, Dean Wharton (Eddie) of Oakland, Millie Taylor (Ricky) of Somerville and Vickie Parks (Donnie) of Somerville, his brothers, Roger Lee of Como, MS and Max Lee (Peggy) of Somerville, his friend, Earl Belk of Tunica, MS and a number of nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Alen Chron, Shane Parks, Jerry Rogers, Jr., Tim Rogers, Dale Stainback and Carl Taylor.
